[9] 예수께서 대답하셨다. "빌립아, 내가 이렇게 오랫동안 너희와 함께 지냈는데도, 너는 나를 알지 못하느냐? 나를 본 사람은 아버지를 보았다. 그런데 네가 어찌하여 '우리에게 아버지를 보여 주십시오' 하고 말하느냐?
[10] 내가 아버지 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시다는 것을, 네가 믿지 않느냐? 내가 너희에게 하는 말은 내 마음대로 하는 것이 아니다. 아버지께서 내 안에 계시면서 자기의 일을 하신다.
[11] 내가 아버지 안에 있고, 아버지께서 내 안에 계시다는 것을 믿어라. 믿지 못하겠거든 내가 하는 그 일들을 보아서라도 믿어라.
[12] 내가 진정으로 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 나를 믿는 사람은 내가 하는 일을 그도 할 것이요, 그보다 더 큰 일도 할 것이다. 그것은 내가 아버지께로 가기 때문이다.
[13] 너희가 내 이름으로 구하는 것은, 내가 무엇이든지 다 이루어 주겠다. 이것은 아들로 말미암아 아버지께서 영광을 받으시게 하려는 것이다.

[2] My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
[4] You know the way to the place where I am going.”
[5] Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
[6] Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
[7] If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
[8] Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
[9] Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
[10] Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
[11] Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
[12] Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
[13] And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
[14] You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

[1] "Don't let this throw you. You trust God, don't you? Trust me.
[2] There is plenty of room for you in my Father's home. If that weren't so, would I have told you that I'm on my way to get a room ready for you?
[3] And if I'm on my way to get your room ready, I'll come back and get you so you can live where I live.
[4] And you already know the road I'm taking."
[5] Thomas said, "Master, we have no idea where you're going. How do you expect us to know the road?"
[6] Jesus said, "I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.
[7] If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You've even seen him!"
[8] Philip said, "Master, show us the Father; then we'll be content."
[9] "You've been with me all this time, Philip, and you still don't understand? To see me is to see the Father. So how can you ask, 'Where is the Father?'
[10] Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you aren't mere words. I don't just make them up on my own. The Father who resides in me crafts each word into a divine act.
[11] "Believe me： I am in my Father and my Father is in me. If you can't believe that, believe what you see--these works.
[12] The person who trusts me will not only do what I'm doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I've been doing. You can count on it.
[13] From now on, whatever you request along the lines of who I am and what I am doing, I'll do it. That's how the Father will be seen for who he is in the Son. I mean it.
[14] Whatever you request in this way, I'll do.

Discipleship and intimacy
The life of a disciple is about entering into the most intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Jesus' joy is to see His disciples move closer to Him, step by step.
A fruitful life is the outward manifestation of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
In an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, a believer is never alone.
This is because the deepest part of every human being can only be satisfied by Jesus.
To those who maintain an intimate relationship with Jesus, the Lord gives peace beyond words.
